Ron was born and raised in Dauphin and graduated from DRCSS in 1980.

He received his Bachelor of Commerce Degree in 1984 from the University of Manitoba. After working for about a year in Winnipeg at an MPI Claims Centre and Canadian Indemnity Insurance Co., Ron returned home to join Love & Persson Agencies in 1985 as a partner.

In 1988, Ron completed his insurance courses for his Canadian Accredited Insurance Brokers designation. In 1991 he became qualified to sell mutual funds, furthering his education in 1995 by successfully completing the Canadian Securities Course and Branch Mangers Course. Ron also has his Life Insurance & Accident & Sickness Licenses.

Ron specializes in the financial services area of LPG and is the Office Manager of the firm.
